As has been a long-standing custom here at Cloverdale United Church, on this weekend when our pastors are away at the annual meeting of our regional council of The United Church of Canada, this week’s worship service is being led by lay leaders from among the active participants with our congregation’s United Church Women unit. In the midst of this service of worship themed around comfort from and rest in the Lord, CUC member and church council chair Daniel Ariss will be offering the sermon.
