25th Sunday after Pentecost

In these unnerving times of COVID, trouble in Afghanistan, the environment in crisis, and seemingly no end to the list of things to be concerned about, it is good to remember that we serve a God of creation, love, hope, grace, mercy, and resurrection who is in the business of redeeming all creation.  We don't need to know the 'when' or 'why' or 'how' (much as we may really, really may want to know); our focus ought to be on our part.

We are pleased to welcome Lauren Kirkey as our guest preacher and worship leader this morning while Rev. Matt is on vacation.  Lauren is in her 3rd year of the Master of Divinity program at Vancouver School of Theology, one of our eight theological schools in The United Church.
