This week, we continue our journey through the Great Fifty Days of Easter as our scripture focus brings us to some of Jesus' final words and acts to prepare his disciples for their life after he was gone. This week's scene takes us to the "upper room" where Jesus gathered with his disciples on the night before he was crucified, where we will hear his "new commandment" that points to how we who follow Jesus are to live with one another. We have a special treat in worship this Sunday, too, as Sarah Zezchuk preaches this Sunday's sermon; Sarah has been our children-and-youth leader this past program year while Robyn Garland has been away on maternity leave, and we are preparing to bid Sarah a fond farewell at the end of the month.
