6th Sunday of Easter

As we continue hearing scenes from the earliest Christian communities from the Bible's book of Acts, this week's story takes us to Athens, where we find the apostle Paul making a speech to a people who had neither any background in the Jewish faith from which Paul came, nor any exposure to the message about Jesus that Paul travelled to spread.  The people were not unrelgious, though; they had altars to so many different deities that they even had one dedicated "to an unknown god".  What are the different things in life that we have set up—intentionally or not—to be the objects of our "worship"?  And how do we share from our place of faith and experience of hope in God amidst a culture that increasingly has no familiarity with the traditions from which we speak?
