The 4th Sunday of Easter

We reach the mid-point of the Easter season this Sunday on what is commonly called "Good Shepherd Sunday".  The beloved words of the 23rd Psalm, which we’ll both speak and sing, comfort us with God's strong yet nurturing presence.  In scripture and sermon, we hear from Jesus in the gospel of John as he uses the shepherd image to speak of our experience of God. But just what is it that makes this shepherd “good”?
