“We Don’t Even Have Pennies Anymore”
On the eve of our nation’s observance of Remembrance Day, in our worship here at CUC we will take time to pause in remembrance of all those killed by the horrors of war and to pledge ourselves to working toward a future filled with peace. Then, as we turn toward God’s Word speaking to us through scripture and sermon, we will meet up with Jesus as he observes and praises a widow who, although impoverished, nevertheless offers up out of all that she has.
