Blessing of the Backpacks: September 5th

Celebrate Back-to-School with us at Cloverdale United Church and Join Us for Our Blessing of the Backpacks!

Please join us Sunday, September 5, as we celebrate the beginning of a new school year! Students, teachers, and school staff of any age (including college and university friends!) are invited to bring their backpack , briefcase, tote, binder, tablet or chromebook (whatever is a good representation of school for you!) for this special blessing to begin the new school year surrounded in prayer. The blessing will take place during our Gathering Time in our worship service.

Students and staff will be invited up to be prayed for, and will receive a special tag to place on (or in) their bags to remind them that God is with them in their daily life and that their church family will be praying for them throughout the year.

If your family or school attendee is unable to join us on Sunday, let us know! Please email Sarah Zezchuk at sarah@cloverdaleunitedchurch.ca with their name and what school they will be attending this fall so that we can pray for them. We will make sure to get them a tag to add to serve as a reminder to them during their school days, too!
