Our annual “Church in the Park” Picnic Sunday returns on Sunday, June 5, 2022 -- Pentecost Sunday, the celebration of the coming of the Holy Spirit and the “birth” of the Christian church.
But due to the rain expected Sunday morning, we'll NOT be gathering at Clayton Park. Worship at 10:30 am and our all-church picnic potluck will take place at the church building. We’ll still share in a more-casual, freeform, interactive worship service (in the sanctuary) and share in hot dogs and other food together afterwards (in the Lower Hall)… so still come with your finger foods to share, beverages, and mealware.
For worship, feel free to bring along a musical instrument if you feel so inspired, and gather a bit earlier if you want to join in some music-making.
For the food and fun following, organizers will take care of grilling hot dogs and providing the related "fixings". You'll want to bring: a finger food to share (such as a side item or a dessert), beverages (no alcohol), and a reusable plate and utensils.
Due to our Church-in-the-Park Picnic Sunday next week, we will not be livestreaming or video-recording our worship service. We hope everyone will be able to join us in-person, outdoors, at Clayton Park.
For those who are unable to join us in-person and are looking for an online worship option, we encourage you to join in worship with one of our neighbouring congregations:
Please note: We are not planning to livestream even though rain forces us to relocate back to the church. This week we're worshipping "unplugged".
