29th Sunday in Ordinary Time

We continue our four-week series on "Four Prayers That Don't Work" by exploring "The Prayer that Quits."  Prayer is ultimately a way of practicing dependence on God.  In the story we'll hear this week from the gospel of Luke, we'll meet a widow who will not give up on the idea that she will be given the justice she deserves.  Can we share in such tenacity of trust in God, that we will not give up our hope and faith in the justice, mercy, and peace we seek for our world... or our hope and fain in the power of God to deliver?
