24th Sunday in Ordinary Time

The journey to freedom and new life for God’s people at the time of the Exodus continues with this Sunday’s scene telling of the dramatic passage through the Red Sea, a story both triumphant and troubling that challenges us to ask deep questions about where we think we find ourselves in the story of life and faith… and where we think we’d find God. As we celebrate our fall “Connection Sunday,” let us re-commit to finding ourselves bound together in community with one another and in discipleship to Jesus, the One in whom we come to know the reality of our liberating God.
